Winter Program week 4

  This week we started work on the 18th fairway bunker. This is quite a large bunker, with a large face which is imposing from the tee. The placement of this bunker will give the average golfer something to think about off the tee, it will then take a well hit pitch shot to make the green. Week 3 Winter Program

In the past week we have been busy carrying out deep verti-draining to the greens as part of our autumn maintenance. This has created some disturbance to the surface as the tine which is used for deep aeration is 1/2 ins thick and 13 ins long. This creates a channel to move water away from the surfaces quickly during heavy winter down pours. Week 2 Winter Program

This week we have moved up to the 10th green and started construction on the two green side bunkers. The front left has had a makeover resulting in the bunker now pointing more into the green and also having an improved shape to prevent golf balls becoming trapped up against the left hand side edge.
