Winter Program & Irrigation Update 5

The weather has been extremely wet over the past couple of  weeks and we have started to see the water table appearing in the bunkers on the 10th fairway. These bunkers have been marked as ‘ground under repair’ until further notice. The 16th was closed for a couple of days as a result of flooding, we have been able to pump most of  this water away and reopen the hole. The strategy behind this bunker is to collect any short shots into the green,  penalizing and providing a more challenging bunker...

The warmer nights over the last month have helped bring on the playing surfaces producing good putting surfaces. Although after a busy period of rolling, double cutting and brushing to help produce good surfaces over this busy part of the season, the greens still need to be aerated. This work is immensely important to keep our surfaces...
